Terms of Service

1. The service

SnapDrive is a Chrome extension that captures content selected by you, encrypts it in your browser, and stores it in your own Google Drive account. The SnapDrive license service handles account, billing and device entitlement only. It does not receive your captures, passphrase, vault keys or Google Drive tokens.

2. Subscription and trial

New customers receive a 7-day trial that requires a payment card. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically at the selected rate: US$7 per month or US$60 per year, plus applicable tax, until cancelled. By starting a trial or subscription you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method on file.

3. Cancellation and read-only access

You may cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the paid period. If the trial ends without an active subscription, or a subscription is cancelled, unpaid, or past due, SnapDrive becomes read-only: you can still open, export and delete your existing captures, but new captures and library edits require an active license.

4. Refunds and taxes

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Prices exclude applicable VAT, sales tax and similar charges, which are calculated at checkout. You are responsible for any taxes not collected by the payment processor.

5. License and devices

Your license key is personal, tied to your subscription, and may be activated on up to 2 devices. You must not share, sell or publish your license key. We may suspend a license used for fraud, abuse or violation of these terms.

6. Your data and Google Drive

You retain ownership of your captures and your Google Drive data. SnapDrive accesses only the files it creates and its application data folder, using the permissions you grant. Losing both your passphrase and recovery code means permanent loss; we cannot recover encrypted content.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use SnapDrive to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malware, or interfere with the service or other users. You are responsible for the content you capture and for complying with the terms of the websites you use.

8. Third-party services

SnapDrive relies on Google Drive, Stripe (payments and tax), Cloudflare (license hosting) and Resend (transactional email). Their terms and privacy policies also apply. SnapDrive is not responsible for outages or acts of those providers.

9. Disclaimers and limitation

The service is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that content will never be lost. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for SnapDrive in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will post the new version on this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Questions: help@snapdrive.ca.
