The short version

Your captures are encrypted in your browser and stored in your own Google Drive. The SnapDrive license service never receives captures, your passphrase, vault keys or Google Drive tokens. It stores only what is needed to sell and administer a license.

Data we process

We do not receive or store the content you capture, your passphrase, recovery code, vault keys or Google OAuth tokens. Payment card data is handled by Stripe; we do not receive full card numbers.

Why we use it

To provide the license, process payments, calculate tax, prevent abuse, send transactional email, provide support, and comply with legal and accounting obligations.

Processors

Retention

License and billing records are kept while the license exists and for the period required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and legal claims. Recovery-request rate-limit records are kept for a short period. Encrypted captures remain in your Google Drive until you delete them.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection regarding your personal data. Contact help@snapdrive.ca. Deleting license-account data does not delete captures in your Google Drive. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Cookies and tracking

The SnapDrive extension has no analytics, advertising identifiers or telemetry. The license pages set no marketing cookies. Stripe Checkout and the Customer Portal operate on Stripe’s domain and may use cookies under Stripe’s privacy policy.

Security

License traffic uses HTTPS. License keys are stored as a hash plus an AES-GCM-encrypted copy, and device tokens are signed and short-lived. No system is completely secure; protect your license key and your Google account.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
